Sarah knows how to achieve academic success. As the Academic Director of Sutherland Education, Sarah designs and delivers the academic programmes that are central to our core philosophy; namely, to look after not only the safeguarding and wellbeing of our students, but their academic success as well. Sarah is an experienced teacher, who has worked with many different age groups from GCSE to A-level to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Sarah has taught in several Colleges including Kingston College and Esher College and has lectured at the University of Cambridge and most recently, at the University of East Anglia. Sarah’s key strength is getting students motivated and keeping them focused on their particular pathway.
Sarah graduated from Gonville & Caius College, University of Cambridge in 2005 with a PhD in German Philosophy. During her time at Cambridge she also obtained an MPhil in European Literature. As an undergraduate, Sarah attended Durham University and spent a year at the University of Passau, Germany as part of her degree in European Studies. Sarah also has industry experience, working for a careers consultancy and as a legal recruiter and has worked with many undergraduate students to enhance their employability.
