Peter, another member of the Sutherland clan, is an expert careers advisor who will consult on many of our Weekend workshop programmes. Peter has a wealth of classroom experience and with his legal background he can challenge young minds as much as he can motivate.
He is now fully retired but busy with four grandchildren and also still takes a keen interest in the development of Sutherland Education.

Peter Sutherland (MA Oxon. PGCE) read Modern Languages at Oxford University. He then became a solicitor with a leading City firm before turning to teaching.
He has a PGCE from York University and was a boarding housemaster at Oswestry School. He taught for over 30 years at Whitgift School holding a number of posts including Head of Department and Senior Master. After retirement he worked part time as a careers adviser for Cambridge Occupational Analysts, visiting well over 30 schools throughout England and helping hundreds of young people with career and subject choices. For several years he took tours to France and Germany for Riviera Travel Ltd.
